It has been a great yet crazy couple of months here at Pelagic Outfitters . We attended our first iCast convention in Las Vegas and from there went on to Kodiak Alaska for a combination of fishing vacation and equipment testing. BTW, thanks for your patience and understanding while our shop was closed during this time as well as for all the orders placed. We greatly appreciate it. Upon returning from this combo adventure we hit a major snag.....Our computer system crashed while we were away. OMG, it has been a total nightmare. We are still struggling to get it all back up and running which is why we have not had an opportunity to put together our iCast report yet. We wanted to share product news from iCast as well as our fishing trip/product testing with you upon our return, however, it has taken a back seat to this computer incident.

Since we have returned we have received our opening order from Grunden and our web builder has begun getting it posted on our site

Kodiak Alaska:
The weather was off the charts beautiful, the fishing was slow and the company was great.
All in all there are many worse ways to spend a week, but not too many that would be superior.
We took along a few rods from O.T.I., a couple of Okuma Reels and while at iCast Okuma was nice enough to give us a few of their new Savage Gear Lures for trial. Not a bad environment for product testing and evaluation.

At this point this will have to do as we are still swamped with computer issues (it's horrible when you need to rely on techno folk as we know little about computers).
On another VERY EXCITING note, August 5th was our 1 year anniversary here at Pelagic Outfitters. With this in mind starting next week we will be running all types of Anniversary Specials so please stay tuned.
