I am interested in getting a LH Savage bolt action shotgun for a deer hunt this fall. Does anyone here have any experience with them?
The Savage website only lists the 20 gauge in LH but there were 12 gauge LH's being produced a few years ago. Are there any advantages in choosing the 12 gauge over the 20 gauge or vice-versa? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have one but my good friend does and he loves it. WIth modern slugs I would opt for the 20 gauge as recoil is quite a bit less and there is still a bunch of power in the slugs.
