Guess I'm too used to the old gun list and thought I might have some interest without the pics. My wife has a new digital camera, I'll see what she can do.

My wife didn't have any problem taking pictures but they are way to big to simply ad a file to this post and I don't have a website. not really sure what to do.

Dan this might help. You can not only post pictures here but on any forum showing off your guns or anything or anyone.

1.Go to Photobucket and open a free account.

2.Download your photos from your computer to the Photobucket site.

3.Open a second browser. With Explorer I just right click on the Internet Explorer icon and add another Explorer browser.Then when you click the Explorer icon you can choose either browser page.

4.Then open one browser to photobucket and one on your thread. When you click any picture in your photo album you will see some boxes at the right side of the page. One of them is marked (img) and the box contains the image code. Just click on the image code and it will say "copied"

Then open the browser to your thread and right click to paste the image code anywhere in the text.

Dan, For practice send a PM to yourself and put the photos on it as described by RHC.Preview it and you will see if you are on the right track.

I opened a photobucket account and got pictures downloaded ok. Opened photobucket on the right side of my screen and this post on the left side. Left clicked on one of the images and it opened up to one large picture and had the links to share photo off to the right side. I clicked on image and it changed the box to copied. I right clicked on my last post and the paste is not in bold. Is faded like they are when not accessible. Not sure what I did wrong.

Am able to right click on the images in photobucket and get the copy to show up in bold and then I click onto copy. Next I can right click onto my desktop and get the paste command and paste the image onto my desktop and view it ok. I tried to copy the picture from photobucket and from my desktop onto this thread and still can't get the paste command to come up in bold.

Triple click the image link with the left mouse button.

Right click on the blued area. A menu will pop up. Left click copy.

Go to where you want to paste it, and hold down Ctrl on the keyboard, and tap the V character on the keyboard. Put img in brackets before the url and /img in brackets after the url.

It will look like this (without the spaces):

[img] http://www.photobucketpicture.jpeg [/img]

It seems that photobucket uses all caps and for some reason that won't work - it has to be lowercase.

If that doesn't work for you, PM me the link to your photobucket, and I'll get them up.

My brother says you usually have to drag the pictures into a new post before I submit it. Here goes again.

Learned lots through all this and thanks to all. the O'Conner is new and never been out of the box. Meant to say that it has the steel buttplate in the first post. The 101 has been to Argentina on a dove hunt when it was new, and hardly used since then. If anyone wants me to get the gun in my hand and describe any dings PM me for my phone #.

Make sure it is the "IMG" code that you are copying.

Open 24 HR.
Click on little '+' symbol at top of screen and open another 'tab.'
Go to your Bookmarks/Favorites and open Photobucket
Click on little '+' symbol at top of screen and open another 'tab.'

Sign-in.
Go to your Classified post
At bottom, Left click on 'Edit'

Sign-in
Open your library
Locate photo
Locate 'flower' or 'gear' in upper-right corner of photo
Left click on 'flower/gear' and see an 'options' pane
Move 'arrow' to 'Get Links'
Left click on 'Get Links
Left click on bottom-most link (will say 'copied' very briefly)

Move 'arrow' to first 24 HR. 'tab'
Left click to open
Your post (in edit mode) is right there
Spot photo location in post by left clicking and placing cursor (blinking line) where you want it.
Right click to open 'option' pane
Left click on 'Paste'
'Image code address is put in place- NO PHOTO IS SEEN'

Hit 'Enter' 2 times to skip space
Repeat for additional photos

Hit 'Save'
Next time you see your post a digital photo will be there.

*NOTE: IF you delete your photo in Photobucket, you cancel the photo 'address' and your photo goes blank on 24 HR.

Log-off Photobucket and close tab
Return to first 24 HR. and come back and play.

You a lefty?

Yes that is a Left Hand rifle and I am a lefty. Started as a Right Hand Mauser and the bolt was moved to the left side. The bolt still rotates in the same direction as when it was Right Hand because the body has gear teeth machined into it and the bolt handle is mounted in the bolt shroud on a shaft and the bolt handle also has gear teeth machined into it. A gunsmith out of santa barbara California built the rifle right after WW2. His name was Roy Gradle. Used to read about him in the gun magazines when the short magnums came out cause he built short magnums on 348 win cases in the 50's. Rifle is a 257 Roberts. The man did really nice work.

ok, and I have a nice Heym SR21/Mauser 3000 Left hand that is custom stocked somewhat like the o'conner rifle that I think you would like.

Sold the 101 pigeon grade. If anyone wants the O'Conner rifle for $1800 let me know.
