It would put 2 shots together and the 3rd high and right. Tried free-floating and a shim under the action behind the recoil lug,it shot a little better, but not much.

BSA I found a couple of pics that I had taken of the pre-64 model 70 in 30-06 that ALLEGEDLY was stocked by Beisen. Obviously not Fleur-De-Lis. donsm70

That looks like a standard Monte Carlo factory stock that someone has customized, to me anyways.

Yup, living in BC, but, close (165 miles) to Spokane,WA. home of the Biesens, I have seen several "stocked by" rifles that were NOT "real" Biesen's.
I had a Biesen Fwt. 270, in autumn, 1968, and some older friends had other Biesen's, all P-64s. The fellow who sold it to me regreted doing so and pestered me until I sold it back to him and I never bought another.
Agree, I don't think that is a Biesen stock.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

My model 70 started out life as an Oberndorf type B sporter with a flat bolt handle. I believe it was originally a 6.5 x 58. The previous owner stated the ammo was difficult to locate. So his father had a Winchester barrel in 30/06 installed. Barrel dated 1961. Sorry to disappoint. But it's the closest I have to a model 70..

Winchester M 70 .30-06 using 180 gr Nosler Partitions. Cool picture. Nice to see the old 30-06 is still adequate.

Here's a pic of my latest Mod. 70 EW, 270 Win., just recently bedded in an edge. I just shot it this morning, testing out some loads. Hopefully I'll have it dialed in at 200yds in the morning.
