When your looking at pics of a takedown what are some of the tell tale signs that you should walk away. I haveone in 30/30 a solid frame but wouldnt mind one in 300 in take down. Thanks

The one thing that would drive me away is something that you can't tell from a pic, and that is how tight it is. The rest of the stuff, ie: cosmetic issues, can be evaluated with a pic to one degree or another as with any other gun.

I looked at one at the new Lone Tree CO Cabelas. I wasn't aware the forend has a socket in it to take down the bbl.
Don't recall the price. ~$1000? They had them priced all over the place (bought the 300 Sav for $340). A couple of others are WAY over priced.

I think 30/30 or 30 wcf take downs might be a little scarce. I do not remember seeing many out there.
