Ruger SRH .44Mag & 200gr XTP

All handloaded

223 with 50gr sp

22-250 with 55gr hornady sp or federal 60gr partitions

243 with either 95gr btips or 95gr VLDs

257 Bob AI with 100gr sierras or 100gr ballistic tips

25 Gibbs with 115gr btips

270 Gibbs with 150gr btip combined tech

4 different 270 winchesters with 150gr horns, 130gr accubonds, and 150gr VLDs

7mm-300wby with 160gr accubonds

300WSM with 180gr accubonds

30-30 170gr factory federals and Remington's

30-06 with 165gr horns, 180accubonds or PTs

338 Edge with 300gr sierras

Still have to play with a few of them but I have quite a bit of time before rifle season opens. The 22-250 just got a new barrel so I'm starting from scratch there, the 243 got a new stock so I need to see how a new test load with the 95gr VLDs shoot and see how the old 95gr btip loads shoot with the new stock. Gotta work up a load for my new stainless featherweight 270win and for my 30-06 featherweight since I was far from impressed with the blue box federal 150s I shot out of it last year.

I forgot to buy surplus antlerless whitetail tags so I've only got two deer tags and an elk tag. I guess I'll just have to rotate through the lineup of rifles! I gotta focus on getting an elk for Dusti and me!

Yeah I've got a deer "A" tag and a single region antler less whitetail tag that I bought OTC. If I would have been on the ball, I could have bought more surplus antlerless whitetail for area 404 like I had last season.

Just using my 7 wsm and 300 rum this year. The 7 wsm has been out in the field the past 2 weeks with me, but struck out on sheep. Used it to kill another caribou though. The 300 will be used for bison this winter.

Only the .270 Winchester. I usually kill my game with a .30-06 but I want to get more 270 kills under my belt so I'll probably use it exclusively this year.

You sure that's a good choice? According to the Campfire experts here, the .270Win is barely capable of dispatching gophers, much less big game animals..........LOL!!!

Fixed it for you! grin

I'll be using my 270 for caribou and sheep and the XLR in 45-70 for moose and bears.

Wife will be using her 7mm-08 for caribou and maybe even a moose.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

I hope to do a lot of doe thinning and probably kill a few hogs.

I would like to harvest something with each of my Rugers, so:

.223 - M77 Compact and Mini-14 Target
22-250 - Tang Safety
.243 - M77 Hawkeye
25-06AI - M77 Target
.280 - M77 MarkII
7Mag - M77 MarkII and Express

Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.

Absent something breaking, all of my hunting will be with a 300 saum shooting 150gr ballistic tips

If my 7 year old (almost 8) decides he wants to whack one we will take the 243, which right now is sighted in with federal blue box 80gr

This will be our first year that we can use a centerfire 22. Think I will try at least one stunt shot and see if the .223 truly does work. Not sure which bullet to use yet. I've read good things about the Barnes but then there are several others that would make good candidates. Other than that, I don't know but will know when the time gets here.
