Primer - Winchester WLR

I've found that combination to be quite accurate in several rifles. It also works well with CCI 200, Fed 210, and Rem 9 1/2 primers too.

95 grain Partitions are my first choice in my 6mm. If I had to shoot Factory Ammo, the 100gr Remington Corelock's perform about the same & are super accurate in both my 6mm & my .243
IIRC, you can buy the 100gr Corelock bullets from Midway for reloading. IMR 4350 & Reloade 19 works well in all my .244 caliber rifles.

243 Win in Savage 10 has been deadly on whitetail from 100lb to 170 lb. The average Tennessee Whitetail is around 125 lbs. Head shots at 15 yds to broadside and a few walking directly toward me at 175 yds. All one shot kills. Past year's bullet of choice was Hornady 100 interlock soft point in front of 41 gr of IMR4350.
Current Savage 110 prefers Hornady 95SST for accuracy. Took one buck last year with this bullet. Deer was quartering away at 175 yds and hit behind near shoulder. 40 yard run before collapsing. There was more damage to chest area with the 95SST but no exit. The 100 sp always exited but did not have as much of an explosive affect in the chest area as the 95SST. I choose the bullet that gives the best accuracy with the current rifle.
There is one field where ranges are more than 200 yards. For that field my preferance is the 100 gr soft point based solely on past performence at longer distance.

I've been using a 6-06 on deer and antelope for the last 25 years. The 100g Hornady interlock has done the trick each time.
Tried the 95 Noslers and see no difference in the end result, but there is a difference in how much bullet remains when one is found. I would use either one available.
BTW, they are getting pushed at 3300+.

The 80/85 TSX or tipped version are not the way to go for lung shots on deer. They do exactly what Dirtfarmer showed. Not what most people want to happen. Hit high bone and they drop dead with little mess.

Any of the tougher softpoints work fine if they are up in the 100 grain class, even cheap ones like CoreLocts and PowerPoints.

The 95 BTip is the easy choice. For deer, it is pretty much perfect. If you really like how Partitions perform (though it will be a small exit wound in 6mm), then the 95 grain almost always outshoots the 100 for some reason.

I will be trying the 85 Hornady Interbond this fall, just to see if I can get as much damage as the BTip with as much penetration as the Partition. It happens to have a high BC as well that makes it attractive.

Range test for the 100gr hornady BTSP interlock went very well. This bullet may be the most consistant I have found for the 18.5" youth mod 7. 2880fps with 47gr W780 and rem 9 1/2M primers. Did 5 2 shot groups at one target. I may be able to tighten it up a bit with a primer change, fed215M or CCI to get SD closer. This thin pencil barrel is very touchy about Velocity. If you group the bullet hits by velocity. 2904-2904-2909 where touching. 2861-2858-2864-2861 where together, 2891-2871-2879 spread the group out. It was hot and breezy so group was spread right of center. Give or take.

I use 95grn NBT on top of 41.5 of IMR4350. Have taken dozens of white tail with this load from 100 to 320 yards and have never had to shoot twice. Only 2 failed to drop in there tracks with this load for me. Browning A-Bolt stalker II
