Got a buddy with a Remington Genesis. I'm trying to help him mount a Nikon Omega muzzleloader scope on it and get proper eye relief and use mounts that allow the windage iron sight to remain on.

I can only find weaver 418M 2 piece bases to mount rings on. I'd like an extended weaver or Picatinny rail. The 2 piece system places the windage and elevation knobs on the optic directly over the front rings which is obviously no good. I need to get it out farther.

Any ideas or mount recommendations that I can't find on line?

Thanks in advance.

Would extended rings help?

Nope. Won't extend enough for the 5" eye relief on the Nikon and none are high enough to keep the bell over the rear iron sight. Hope I can find a longer rail.
