I got my latest McMillan today - a KS edge for a Rem 700 LA LH ADL with a magnum sporter barrel inlet, 1" decelerator, 14 1/8" LoP which requires use of a 1/2" spacer. It is replacing a McSwirly with the exact same spec. Thought the 'fire might be interested in the weight saving - 190g or 6.7oz. Swirly is 900g (31.7oz), Edge is 710g (25.0oz).

Rifle has dropped to 3450g (7lb 9.7oz) with a XCR barrel action in 7RM, Talley's and Leupie 4.5-14x40AO. Interestingly the point of balance only moved forward about 3/8".

I was pleasantly surprised about that too. I was expecting to need to flute the barrel to get it back into balance, but there is no need.

Curious as to the weight of the edge stock. Sounds like a nice rifle

All Edges I've had on my scale came in between 24 to 25 ounces.

The lightest regular fill I had was 30 ounces, though most go 31 or 32.

Had an Edge compact (Winchester) that was under 23 ounces, and a Winchester supergrade (edge w/1" pad) that was 24 ounces, fwiw.

Just received a hunter's edge a few weeks ago, 14" lop, 1" decelerator, 700 SA, 3 color speckletone, 23.7 oz if I remember correctly.
