I've used a good deal of H414/760 in the '06, .243, and .30-30.

The most accurate rifle I have is a 6mm Rem on a long action Model 700... hgwever after testing it with 15 different powders and a 75 grain HP, only 2 powders were unacceptable...but the hands down winner from 100 out to 600 yds turned out to be H 414...
and that was despite the fact after we chronographed it, it has the largest deviation spread of the other 14 powders tested...
guess I had two options, I could have complained and used something else, or smile and just use it and let it do what it does best... I chose the later option...

14-0 gr. Lil-Gun and a CCI-450 mag to be exact. Gunner Well, I should have known. Even the Hornet gets lit with a magnum spark plug... DF

I ran a Hornet test with Li'l Gun and various primers, and CCI 450's resulted in the best accuracy. The worst was with small pistol primers.

Have used H414/W760 in .270, 7x57, .30-06. Good velocity, accuracy, and near book velocity. It has been around a while and the 'formula' is temperature sensitive, and like lastround, I don't use it if I expect temps below 20F. (H4350 Extreme or Ramshot's powders there.) Again w/ lastround, with 414/760, I prefer magnum primers in those cases. Ramshot and several writers also recommend magnum primers with Ramshot ball powders, even in light of their relative temp. insensitivity. FYI- Beware of some old published data... I find max loads reduced 4-7 grains (.30-06) between an old manual and a current edition...
