I went to the gun club today with the 12 gauge over .308 Bailkal MP94 and three different handloads.150 grain,165 grain and 180 grain bullets using appropriate amounts of IMR4895.
Sorry I have no pictures to post of this trip.
The 150 grain Sierras went in a two inch cluster about two inches high of the bull.Just where I want them.
The 165's for some reason shot to the right.I don't have hardly any of these and won't buy any more.
The 180's shot a weeeee little bit right but two of them made made one oblong hole in the target.I cannot quibble that one bit.
Next I clobbered a bowling pin at 100 yards using a 12 gauge Brenneke slug.
This combination gun has not only lived up to my expectations but far exceeded them.
It will be my ONE GUN from now on and a couple or three of other standard style rifles(bolt and lever varieties)are going to find another owner.I've been comboed.
I recommend the Baikal combo guns to anyone.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Stan,

The 12ga/7X57R one I had was very accurate. I had a 140gr bullet load that was sub-MOA. I never got around to finding the right 12ga slug combination for it, however.

I have had BRNO combo gun in the closet for years in that caliber. I'm going to get it out and play with it.

Stan,
I have 2 of the MP94 combo guns, one is just like yours in 308 and the other is 223. A mod. that I did to both of them was put an actual recoil pad on. As they come from Baikal the recoil pad is harder than the wood they are screwed to grin

I have no problems at all with my 223, but with my 308 the barrels are not lined up perfectly.
I have several gunsmith friends but none of them want to touch this thing and I dont know how to go about shipping it back to Russia, also the triggers on this 308 are 5# heavier than on my 223

boatanchor,
I would suggest finding a VERY competent gunsmith who can align the barrels. From what I have heard sending it back to the factory isn't a good option. You don't live long enough to get it back.
