Anyone have an idea what a Winchester Model 94 AE XTR 24" barrel in 7-30 walters is worth retail in good to excellent condition? A guy on another site has one for sale. I want it, but don't have clue what the rifle is worth.

I seriously doubt you could get one on GunBroker or the like in any kind of decent condition for under $700.

This fellow is wanting a little more than $700.00, He hasn't had any interest other then me. Thats why I asked, usually you can tell if a particular item is priced fair by the responce it recieves.I guess I answer my own question.

Boils down to how bad you want the rifle, how "good to excellent" the condition is and will the fellow move his price toward your comfort zone ?

Ever since the USRAC fold several years back, the 94 XTR (AE or top eject) prices have gone berserk. They have evened out a bit over the last couple years. But I don't see them dropping a bunch more. The nice, used Waters, .307, .356, .375 and .444 Model 94s are now routinely selling for 2X to 3X what they cost new.

Yoder, I suppose it good news if you have one, bad news if you don't. I like to see the market set the value, evidently he is over valued this rifle. He has lowered the price a little and still no interest. If you want to catch a fish you got to make the fish want to bite. I guess he still values the thing more than I want it. : )

Let him sit on it for a spell.

One of three things will take place. He will want it less and lower his price. The bug will bite you harder and you will up your bid. Or someone else will want it worse than you do. Time will tell.

BTW.......... I have 3 of 'em. grin
