Long action Model 700, 6mm Rem, 1 in 7 twist, 115 gr Bergers seated out to magazine length.... running out the barrel at 3250 fps... is a fairly flat shooting long ranger....

I'd do an 8 twist with a 105/107 variety bullet before dropping all my eggs in the 115 basket......

There are a lot of good ones. How often do you want to re-barrel and what is a realistic max distance.
I shoot a lot and got tired of putting barrels on the 6.5-284 so I switched to an 8 twist 6br with 107's. All depends what you are looking for.
