Walked in the door from work and I had a white box on the table. I couldn't wait to open it as I'd been waiting on this McMillan for a while. After opening the box, all I could do was laugh! Things didn't quite turn out as I'd pictured in my head. I was expecting more black at the butt, more brown fading to tan in the middle and a little tan/white near the tip. Instead, my great color scheme turned into a McWoody in the back and a dirty snowflake in the front.... Hard to describe what it resembles, but it may be the ugliest McMillan of all time! It's unique...McMillan did exactly as I instructed. No fault of theirs, just not what I had pictured in my mind.
It's starting to grow on me though...
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Is the barrelled action SS or blued? Not that it will matter much. That thing is still horrendous!!

Mountain rifle, 700, short action, BDL, factory sporter barrel contour....

I'd run the dam thing with a ss action, blue barrel, black bolt, and miss matched ss and matte Talley's.
