I couldn't believe my eyes last night, when the news flashed the results of the recall elections. Morse's recall numbers were close, but our local senator, Angela Giron, went down in big flames- 60% to 40%!!! That's quite a landslide, in a county and city where voters tend to be very Democrat and Hispanic.
The message should be loud and clear- if you don't listen to the wishes and beliefs of your constituency, you just might lose your job. If I were Chickenlooper this morning, I would be considering firing up the brewery once again, after his election date comes and goes......
I'd rather be a free man in my grave, than living as a puppet or a slave....

I'm with Bighorn. I could not be happier and hope we can maintain some of this momentum going into the election for Governor. Would tickle the he** out of me if we could show Chickenlooper the door! I'm glad the independents and even the Dems saw the light and voted for the recall.

Have a really good friend that resides in Denver, gonna have to call him today.
as an aside just read the CNN article," blah, blah, blah, the NRA funneled money into this campaign, along with Bloombergs Mayors against guns," but failed to mention the amounts each side spent
to their credit though they did give the breakdown on polls with registered Republicans being against the new gun laws by something like 85-7%, independents 56-39%, and (drum roll please)
registered Dems 16-80% (those aren't the exact numbers, doing them from memory)
yep that's how out of touch Dems are with real Americans

I love to see stuff like this happen! These people that get elected to public office need to ask themselves every day, WHO DO I WORK FOR? WHO'S BUSINESS DO I CONCENTRATE ON? And remember where they came from. They serve at the pleasure of the voters and when the voters are not pleased, they may not serve very long. It don't have to be gun rights issues, anyone should be recalled when they do not listen to their constituents.
Way to go Colorado voters!!

Indeed! What most folks don't know, or have forgotten by now, is that Joe Biden conducted a phone calling blitz to try and influence votes on the gun control bills, at the time they were being debated in the Colorado legislature. Guess they should have listened to their constituents and not crazy Joe......
