Did y'all get that croc, or is it still looking for a swimmer or some guys hunting dog? Does roo taste like chicken? Nice buffler.

What do you kill that you can eat? I hear parasites are a problem sometimes? Thanks for the post and photos! (also, thanks for turning them right-side-up.)

Please pardon the ignorance, is there a season for crocodiles in Australia? Aussies are not permitted to hunt any indigenous game.

[quote=AussieGunWriter]Aussies are not permitted to hunt any indigenous game. What about roo? KC Technically no, you can't hunt roo. Legally, you are supposed to be be a government licensed culler with tags for each roo killed. Not that this keeps people from shooting them.

what do you guys in Oz think the likelihood of croc hunting being re-opened is in the future? i know you guys shut it down for the same reason we shut down hunting gators awhile back but my understanding is that like our gator population your guys' saltie population has bounced back.....

I'm not an Aussie, but lived there for a while. In my opinion, as more people get taken by crocs, I think it's likely that there will be a government run cull rather than hunting by the public. The Aborigines can take them, but they don't kill enough to affect the population. And you're right, the saltie population is booming.

Very nice..
Myself and a few buds did a buff hunt there with doubles last June. Helluva good time and we all shot some really nice buffalo.
I wouldn't mind doing it again soon.

Maybe after a bunch of the right dazzling urbanite campers get munched, they'll open a season.

Magpie goose hunting is some serious good fun! I have never been interested in shooting feathered game and haven't owned a shotgun since the 70's. Simply no interest there whatsoever. John
