I have a pair on my Marlin 45-70 that have been holding well so far. The store only had this one set for the Marlin, and I held my nose and took them. It has a Weaver K2.5x on it and will shoot 3/4" at a 100. Right now, it ain't broke and I'm not going to fix it.

Never used Millet. Their signature statement on their magazine ads for yrs. was" Kill it with Millet" I am a lifeong hunter but that turned me off. Now that I have you guys on line: how do you measure the height of the rings for mounting a scope on a rifle? BEFORE you make the purchase. Do low, medium and high rings have an industry wide standard? How do you figure height above the barrel when the obj. end of the scope is a different mm. than the one inch or 30mm dia. of the main tube. AND: IS IT TRUE THAT most variable scope tubes are 30mm and most fixed scope tubes are 1"? Is it true that focus is at the obj. end and parallax adjust. is at the ocular end? Anybody ever measure from center of bore to center of scope obj. lens. Is there a standard used for calculating trajectory? If your rifling is one turn every ten inches, does the bullet in flight turn once in every ten inches? Has anybody ever seen the RPM published anywhere of a bullet in flight? When a firing pin hits the primer and the cartridge goes BOOM instantly: why do they have fast powders and slow powders? It seems any trigger I ever pulled caused the cart. to go off instantly with no delay--no matter what powder I loaded it with. How is powder burning rate figured? Must be by the thousandths of a second. Where is the dovetail on a rifle? Is it the cut out that the open rear sight is wedged into on a rimfire or is it the grooves that run over the bolt that the 3/8" scope mounts slide onto? Monte Carlo stock: is it the rollover on a comb of the stock or the cheekpiece that rolls over the comb? How is primer applied to a rimfire inside the shell? THESE AND OTHER QUESTIONS WERE RECENTLY ASKED OF ME AT THE LOCAL GUN RANGE BY 2 -14 YR. OLD GENTS. THE ROBINS ARE HERE, I JUST SAW 12 TURKEYS ACROSS THE STREET WITH THE TOM STRUTTING HIS STUFF AMONG THEM AND THE TREES ARE STARTING TO BUD OUT.. HAVE A GREAT TIME AT THE RANGE THIS SPRING AND SUMMER, GOOD LUCK AND SAFE SHOOTING TO ALL.

Gotta agree with Border Doc. I use them all the time with no problems. Not denying anyone's bad experiences, just lucky I guess.

Bought a used rifle once and Millets were included with the deal. Even before mounting a scope in them I thought it was a cheesy setup, but I decided to try them anyway. While tightening the front mount down the screw sheered off under moderate pressure and that was the end of that. No more Millets for me.
