I had ice the roof of the buick this morning. not a white frost but a frozen dew, thin little sheet of ice.

Something clever here.

In the mid 30's here. The sickness has started. grin

I'd like to thank my Niece for choosing November 2 to get married instead of November 9 as well. Lucky for me it's in Duluth so I will arrive early morning before the wedding so I can do some last minute scouting the week before deer season starts.

Thanks Cassy. laugh

I'd also like to thank my boss for allowing me to only work 9 days in November. grin

On a serious note...I'd really like to thank Gophergunner (Jeff) for coming to Jack's football game and bringing my little buddy forearm pads so he doesn't get so beat up. It was a great gesture from a great guy. Thanks Jeff.

Jack wasn't feeling very well yesterday but said he felt good enough to play. He usually plays offense and Defence but I decided that was too much so he just played Offense and did pretty good considering. He is going to the doc later this morning. frown

it was 37 here this morning.
I saw a row of trees over by gopher gunners place
( south of 42 on texas) that had changed color but that's it.
I have a ton of work to do now,so Im going to concentrate on that for awhile and see how it goes.

Spent a fun weekend up at a buddies place hunting....are you ready for this?.....sharptails in Minnesota. Good times were had. Played a bunch of poker as well. It has really been a long time since I played poker...and it showed.

Got the boys out this morning and shot a goose too. Ahhh, fall is here, boys and gurls!

Things are going to change in our house a little as the wife got a full time job! I told her she will now have to get up earlier...to make my breakfast. That did NOT go over well! She will be a public health nurse (RN) again.

I spent 4 hours at the range yesterday. Everything is sighted in and ready to go. The only major chore left to do is get some ammo loaded for my 300 Savage. Thanks to MILES58, I've got a good load that was very accurate. Matching up with him to run a box of shells and go terrorize the local grouse population.

It's time to get this stuff started. Early doe season's coming soon. The clock is ticking.......

I think water heaters come from the factory pre-programmed to crap (*) the bed when there is absolutely positively something else you would rather be doing, or are absolutely not going to be home for a few days........

.......to find out what (*) means, PM me and I will un-sensor how I really feel about water heaters....and I used to get paid to replace them.....

LOL, I already know what (*) means. Especially when it looks like the guy who put it in was likely a family "friend" who did it for nothing and they got their money's worth.....

taking half the day to get a new one and put it in, likely it will turn into a 2 day project with my luck.

it's LP, I think I'll get it, because there is no other option really. it HAS to work, regardless of time it takes.

Hey B-man, We have tons of sharpies but season typically doesn't open on them till a week after it opens on ruffed grouse.
