I bet you're talking about the one in Paducah.

It's closed now, but there's a mural painted on the window that makes it look like people are sitting at the counter.

Can't remember if it was Woolworth's or Kresges, but do remember they had HOT peanuts. You got a decent sized bag for 5 cents! Life was good!!!!

Baseball cap fashion isn't new. In WWII all the cool guys wore them with the brim pushed up.

I remember no TV, Sprouse-Reitz, and Woolworth. Reno was pretty small.

Wearing a baseball cap reversed when you face the sun is stupid, but wearing it reversed when the sun is behind you keeps your neck from getting sun burned.

When sitting on an elevated stand, the bill of my cap faces the sun, no matter which way I am facing.

Bending the bill up allows you to look up without moving your head.

As to the OP, there was said to be a Revco over in the big city but I never saw it.

I am happy to report Gibson's is not extinct. One in Kerrville where my folks live gets a visit from yours truly each time I go there. They still sell guns and have a great counter and full compliment of reloading supplies. Believe it or not I was able to get actual CZ rings and mounts for Dad's Cz 550!! God Bless Gibson's.
