I'm considering a trade for a 1973 model 94 and don't really know what it is worth. It has been re- blued and the stock has been refinished. I've only seen pictures but it looks to be in good shape otherwise and is said to be functionally
sound.

I know my gun is worth $400.

Thanks, mike

Priceless.....

Well, mine is anyway. Wife gave it to me for Christmas before she got pregnant with our first. Belonged to a buddy's father. He also gave her the other half of the box of ammo that had been shot through it. I think it's had a total of 40 rounds through it....

refinished 73 94 would top out at about $250 around these parts. and it would depend on the type of wood and the quality of the refinish. i have seen some of those 70's era 94's that i would rather use for a tomato stake than a deer rifle.

for 4 bills you should be able to get a nice original 40's-50's gun.

If you want a rifle to hunt with 400.00 is nothing for a Winchester 94 , even if it has been redone. Remember the real Winchester 94's are history

I think Winchester used to offer a refinish service to include case bluing. I don't think that would hurt the value. Isn't there a post 64, pre USRAC type 94?

I'm looking for a $250 94 truck gun if anyone has one laying around!

I agree with the first part, but not so much with the second. A "nice original" 40s-50s specimen would be a very good deal @ $400. Around here, anyway. But usually sell for more than that, on average IME.

I have an extremely nice 1946 that I paid $300 for maybe 12 yrs. ago. I felt like I stole it then. I'm quite certain I could now easily get $500 for it, and quite possibly more.

It all depends on who's sellin' the gun, I guess.........

mine has a little rust spot on it but it shoots great and I killed an antelope with it a after i first got it. It's kind of become my go to rifle.

Thanks for the responses guys. I told him I would trade if he added $75 to the deal and he didn't go for it.

I may be overvaluing my gun..he seems to think so. It's a TC contender in 222 rem w / Leopold base and rings. I haven't seen a decent contender for less than $400 in years.
