Looking for a replacement for my .300 EG. Looking over schematics I see the EG takes the "short" screw. Not much turning up on the web search regarding actual size.

The one off my rifle measure .711, but has a noticeable bend and doesn't seem to bite into the stud well, so I'm thinking I may need a longer one.

What actual size do I need?

Thanks in advance.

The two sizes I have are OAL .938 and .729. I was thinking the EG took the short one.

Ebay has a "3/4" screw available. I do believe the EG takes the shorter screw. Sounds like the "3/4" should work.

I'm trying to avoid having a $8 screw floating around if it is the incorrect size.

That's the long screw. If you got the right one for 2 bucks more it was a bargain.

I just replaced the screw on my EG with a sling swivel screw but here's a pic of the original:

Looks like a perfect match.

Hope the barrel stud thread isn't buggered up.

Some may recall the gifted EG thread I posted a few months back. I'm getting impressive groups with Varget/150 BT despite looking through the fuzzy vintage Hensoldt Wetzlar 4X scope.
