Looking to play with IMR 7828 with the 180 grain Swift Scirocco II. What are some of the pet loads you have in a .300 Win Mag utilizing 180 grain bullets and IMR 7828 or IMR 7828SSC?
Thanks.

I don't remember my 180 loads but 7828 will run a 165 from a 300 win incredibly fast. I found a load in an old Speer book and tried it and was getting about 3300 with 165 interbonds.

It's a good powder for the 300 Win.

Seems to like higher pressure. Most accurate load in my 20" 300 win mag is the 220gr hornady RN with IMR7828ssc. I'm getting 2700fps out of the 20" and 2750 out of a 24". Pretty efficient powder at higher pressure.
