GWB I just got myself a new crossbow and these things are like freakin cheating smile I would have let the air out of the buck I killed a couple days ago even with my bow. (if I could draw the thing with my [bleep] up back and neck) But I could have killed several does easily that I would not have considered shooting with my bow.

Nice buck, smokey...

Good job on the hunt although according to Take A Knee there's no way you could shoot an animal that close on 14x... smile

Nice cartridge choice, as well.

Sir,

It's hard to argue with fate, and being a meat hunter at heart, I do likewise. I bet you were jazzed about 5 seconds after you pulled the trigger. Look like a fine buck to me. I'l bet he wil eat just fine.

The 6.5-06 is one chambering I've not owned, but the 6.5 x 284 is probably my favorite of the four different 6.5 chamberings I've owned.

Best,

GWB

Thanks Gee dub, I was jazzed the whole time, except for the wind in the afternoon, that kind of wind will just flat wear you out. I was probably more jazzed before the shot, watching him come in. Had the scope dialed in for 500, then 400, then 300, then 100, that part was fun.

There's many reasons I hunt pigs with CB shorts, but mostly I like close. Got my short shooter dialed in at 20 yards. Close is...
