As for Hollywood politics, just know that approximately 98% of all you see coming from Hollywood is a result of the MegaMillionaire Marxists and Billionaire Bolsheviks who control "the Business." That's just the way it is. Ding ding ding. ----------------------------------------------------------- tom hanks is a commie ! OK gotta get back to my tv "program" ...

It's no surprise that Hanks is a liberal; what would be is coming out of CA and the entertainment milieu and being conservative. Yet, conservatives and liberals are not monoliths of thought and opinion. I read he was very upset about the close down of the WWII memorials and judging by the octanagerian survivors of Easy Company, he was a great guy when they met him during the making of Band of Brothers.
At least he doesn't get on a soap box and make anti-US proclamations a la a Sean Penn or Hanoi Jane.

If your dire need for entertainment trumps your desire for freedom, then continue to support Hollywood, which is responsible for annihilating our morality and constantly attacking our second amendment rights.

Hollywood's main mission statement is to destroy White Christian culture.
They've largely succeeded IMO.

It is a movie, I'll watch it and enjoy. If I boycotted every company who did stuff I don't agree with I'd never buy anything. Including most of my guns.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

Have you ever, at any time in your life, watched any movie made in Hollywood or produced by a production company in Hollywood? It is a simple yes or no question. Yes - see here: Definition of the word "hypocrisy" No, never in my life have I seen a movie made in Hollywood or produced by a production company in Hollywood: Congratulations! You are ideologically pure.

I have never paid to see a Hollywood film.
I have never rented a film.
I have no cable at this house.
What else would you like to know?

Well, folks, I'd love to continue the conversation but I'm off to a double feature sponsored by the local church for the "Family Night Out" - "Reds" and "Milk". I'll let you know how they turn out.

I might add, drastic times require drastic measures!!!! I really don't think anyone has to explain that AMERICA is not the same as it use to be. We are being over run with them chit heads. I understand that next week's features are on a double bill, " Last Tango In Paris," and " Brokeback Mountain." L.W.

Funny thing about "Reds" I laughed my butt off when I saw it in First release, and I laugh even harder now, the Soviet Union was an insane social engineering experiment that ended up on the Junk heap of history. As for Tom Hanks good actor and I will leave it at that.

I heard that "Last Tango in Paris" did more for butter sales than all the Dairy Association commercials combined.

Well Hanks may be a pinko liberal, but that guy can act his ass off.
As Hollywood goes, he isn't the worst, he gave us Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and now Captain Phillips, all patriotic and flattering to the military...I mean it ain't like he is Oliver Stone.

All of the reviews that I've seen say the bad guys....especially, the little one, are the most compelling part of the movie. Think he's the one who says to Hanks that he's now the captain of the ship. Up for best supporting actor award. Compelling how? They hadn't a clue what they were doing. The movie didn't make martyrs out of the Somalis if that is what you are thinking. They were compelling as looking the part for sure.

I heard that "Last Tango in Paris" did more for butter sales than all the Dairy Association commercials combined. It was rumored around Hollywood that Brando owned 50,000 shares of Darigold Meadows stock. Got in on the ground floor, so to speak. L.W.
