These are the Herrett Off Duties on my M60 square butt. Notice the extra wood over the back strap.

Very nice. While a J-Frame without extra material there feels fine for me when shooting double action, I definitely feel the need for a space filler on the backstrap when shooting my Detective Specials double action. I've looked into these Herretts in the past.

Those interest me very much. I checked on Herrett's web site and they don't show them. Maybe no longer offered? I'll send an email tomorrow and ask.
Nice pics. Very helpful. Thanks.

TJ, If you like the ones on the 'bay, I'd bid up to a max. of around $50 if it were me. You dont see that rounded style very often - I'd buy them myself if i wasn't strapped for cash right now. If Herret's doesn't make them anymore, you could also post a WTB thread on the S&W forum and you may find some.

I don't think Herrett makes them any longer. There are two on ebay now....one for a round butt and one for a square butt. The link to both auctions are in my previous post on this topic. There is another set of square butt Herretts on ebay that look like they have alot of meat on the back strap but also cover the front. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251352126763?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_63wt_1170

I have a huge set of Pachmyer rubber grips on my Model 63, not concealable at all, but man can I control that pistol. A local shop owner looked down her nose at them and I switched to something more sexy for a few years, but accuracy is as accuracy does, and I went back to the grip that fits my large hands.

I have the large version of the CTC Laser Grip on a J-Frame. Best of two worlds: good ergonomics and a shoot-from the hip sight. If you shop around you can beet the CTC web-site prices.

TRH - Turned 70 in June. Just in time for back surgery. Slow recovery. I still go to the range 2 or 3 times a week. Am still shooting my Obama 1 ammo.
Thanks for asking.

I've been corresponding with Herrett, and we may have a plan going that'll meet my requirements. If I go forward, I'll post pics later.
BTDT with the back surgery. I feel for you. Hang in there.

Thanks for asking. Congrats on making 70. Hope to congratulate you again at 80. Wishing you a full recovery.
