I know that Remington made it in the model 600 and Model 7KS. Both of which are hard to find and expensive. Anyone else made it in a bolt action?

It was chambered in the pre 64 Winchester M70.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Thinking about building one on a Remington short action or a Vanguard action with a 20 or 21" barrel.

I have a Ruger 77 in 35 Remington. Sure it reads 358 Win on the barrel but it's no trick to spit bullets out of it at 35 Remington speeds.

I can get my hands on a crisp Benjamin Franklin if anyone wants to part with their old lever action in 35 Rem.

Hunt, when we travel in certain areas of the country used to be full of Marlin .35's with a 20 barrel and half mag.. Haven't looked any over for a while, but they were pretty common not long ago..

Kimber made the Super American bolt action in 35REM, and Mauser made sporters on the Kurz action also. I have never encountered either one of these in the flesh.

pahick did one and could never get to feed correctly for whatever reason. Yup, and its now a 358 winchester. The only person who thought they could fix it was Malm, and he passed away before he took it out of the shipping container. Bob Green polished the feed ramp, but couldnt get it to work with round nose bullets. Pointed bullets would work 7 out of 10. Personally, I think Bob went light on polishing, and coulda made that part work. When I talked to Stick via PM, we got the mag box sorted, just needed bent a little. The one thing that really made me decide to rechamber to 358 was extraction. By all means the SOB should have worked. Its like you said Scott, its not that big of difference in bolt face. But I guess it was enough, because every other round wouldnt extract. I shot that 10 pt in 2011 and thank the Lord the first shot was true cause it didnt extract and when I cleared the chamber the 2nd nosed into the ramp. Good luck to whoever tries it. Its a great round for a light mountain rifle. Just know you may have problems with feeding and extraction.

Not a bolt, but perhaps just what you're looking for budget wise? T/C Contender 35 Remington, 21" DMc

I believe the 35 Rem is at it best in the Remington Pump

If you're gonna run a 35 Remington then run one in the rifle it was introduced in. I hunted this one last year, bore is rough but it still shoots well. I'd really like a nice version of M8

Could be the funnest rifle round ever made. ...but for Gawd's sake DO NOT start loading 357 pistol ammo into 35 Rem cases... ..unless you're perverse enough to enjoy seeing turtles explode. My latest batch: SWC Hollowpoints DMc PS: Sorry for fuzziness, macro on my cam sucks. (Now if I could only find some 35 Cal accelerator sabots!)
