Gonna play me some 'beaver' today. Whacking and stacking more dead cottonwoods on the crick bottom. Stihl and husky will be my 'teeth'. rough-terrain forklift will be my dammer-upper.....

What did June Cleaver say when she went through menopause?
"Ward, I'm worried about the Beaver."

Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

Well here's the boy's .243. Remington 700 SPS Youth, wronghanded. Bedded and floated by me and Dave. Burris FFII 3-9 w/ elevation turret and ballistic plex bought off SLM. As per always, Weaver rings and bases. THinking I'm not going to be able to wait till the end of next month to give it to him. He'll rattle-can it to his specs of course. And here's how she shoots. I shot some more at 175 yards. The 95 grain BT load is staying MOA, the 87 grain Vmax load is staying considerably under.

Focus on the five targets in a line. #'s 1, 3, and 5 were Vmax's, #'s 2 and 4 were BT's. Targets 4 and 5 are the keepers. 34.5 grains of Varget w/ the BT's at book length, 36.5 grains of Varget with the Vmax's also at book length. Both with WIn primers and Win cases. No idea for speed.

Scopes tracking perfecto.
Fly in the ointment is I shot it right handed. I've no idea how it'll shoot left handed.
