700 SA, 22-23" in a contour with stock and scope less than 7 lbs. Coyotes, hogs, deer, goats so no need for anything less that 68gr or faster than 8 twist...darn sure will not pour cases half full of 4064 to make a Hornet, ever.
Will the '250AI reamer clean up 223AI without spinning the barrel?
With the extra capacity, 68-75 and 8 twist or 75-90 with a 7.5 twist?
What are the best hunting options for 75-90gr?

I'd let the size of the bolt face decide.

I have one of each so no problem.
Is the '250AI with 75-90's a good split between a 223AI and a 243/243AI?
With the 75 Amax suspended, what would be a good bullet in the 75-90 range?
I have not read much about the '250AI and maybe there is a reason for that.

I think if you've got a .473" face I'd go 243 AI. Pretty handily whoops both with 105s and you can run 87 V-Maxes at 3300-3400 which leave quite the mark too.

My son has an 8" twist .223 AI and I have an 8" twist 22-250. When using comparable bullets they both do really well but I prefer the 250 case because it gets you to more better speeds, more easily. I'd not compare either to the .243. My son and I can shoot the 22's for a long time without fatigue, but not the .243's. If I were you I'd go with the two-fiddy and an 8" twist. Travis

As far as hunting bullets the 75gr. Scirocco, 62gr TTSX, 55gr TTSX, 53gr. TSX should all kill stuff dead. So do 60gr. Hornady SP's. During this time of bullet drought I'd grab any 22 cal with a decent BC and shoot 'em up. My son's .223 AI really likes the Nosler Custom Competition 77grainers. Despite their being Noslers... GFY, Travis

The 22-250AI's are affectionately known in these parts as "Dick Rifles"...because that's what a guy totes, when he feels like being a dick. They are hard on schit and I know that'll horn The Do Nothing Gang up.(grin)
I got 'em all and for Utility, the 223AI easily remains KING.

Mine's a SAAMI chamber. Can I still call it a Dick Rifle?

The '250AI is hard on chit or the guys carrying the rifle?
Do you bother with 75+ in the 223AI?

I've shot various 80's and cain't whoop a 75A-Max,whether 22-250AI or 22-250AI.
All my pards have 223AI's and the 22-250AI is a natural curiosity, after they've gunned one of mine,so there's been a goodly sized herd of them built. We all got 'em in beeg and leetle, with leetle of course stealing The Show.
A Montucky Dick Rifle is THE Grail,as Dick Rifle's go. 'Course it's THE Grail in 223AI too.
Funny how dat works.(grin)

Always thought that if a feller wanted to toss higher than 75 grain bullets at warp 9, a 243AI would be the way to go, with the nod going to the .223AI for 75 grain and under. At least that's what I've done, and I have no complaints...
'Flave has a point though, in that on longer days, the .243AI wears on ya a bit...and the .223AI just doesn't...that's why I usually take both...
A "light" .223AI is in works, as above, because they are just plain nice to shoot.

Out of all of the rifles in the safe, the light calibers with light profiles seem to get the nod the most. I remember reading about that somewhere, from someone, years ago...
The .243AI chucking a 105 A-max is an absolute monster, and it does the impossible time after time. The .223AI with a 75 A-max is not far behind. I suspect no different results from the 7mm Shamwow with the 162 A-max this year. For the most part, the big stuff will stay at home.
