Whats the verdict on the win powermax ammo? Ive never hunted with it, ive shot it s few times with good grouping. Gun im useing is a tc encore in 7mm08, max distance is 325yards with most under 200
Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

i bought a box of 150gr for my 30-06 the year before last. killed a couple whitetail with that load, all without any problems. if memory serves, the bullet is "bonded", but i have no idea as to that particular bonding process. i never found a bullet as they kept on going. my shots were at about 50 yards, and one at 100 yds max. i wouldn't hesitate to use them again. good hunting.

The 130gr .270 version has worked well on hogs for my father in law. No complaints.

It's a fine constructed bullet that is good for 200 and under shots and won't blow up. After 200 it falls like a rock. But 90% of most shots come in that distance.

Why does it "fall like a rock" after 200 yards? Just wondering.

Watched a buddy of mine shoot a 10pt with the 150g 30-06 PM load at 100yds. Busted shoulders and the bullet was against the hide on the off side. Looked like a magazine ad, nice mushroom ahead of some shank.

I've had fine terminal ballistics from 180 grain in .300 WM.

I've killed 4 deer with'em out of a 270 and all four went through both shoulders and kept going, deer only went far enough to hit the ground. Good bullet to hunt with if it shoots straight in your rifle.
Whatever a 7x57 can do a 270 can do better.
True fair chase is you in the woods buttnaked with nothing but your finger nails and teeth.
If you'e fixin' to put a hole in something, make it a hole to remember.

I used some 150 gr. on the last whitetail I killed in 2011. The small 6pt went maybe 30 yards after the shot, I was happy with it. I currently use them out of my .30-06 for bear here in AK, but no luck so far.

They do well at what they are intended for and are hard to beat for the price. The .30 cal 150 grain bullet has a .300 ish b.c.
