Load smart. Load safe. Triple check everything. Never use load data from the 'net without checking against known, pressure tested load data. Typo's happen!!

Old news, but any idea who that is? (grin)

I love that vid.

I think that's a calf barrel on that rifle though.

Apart from those that are showing off for a camera do you think anyone out there is really stupid enough to do that to their equipment...and for what?

Are money and equipment that easy to come by.

Looks like a bull barrel to me.

JStuart: Who cares, it's only money.

I have spent more than the value of that gun just to have a good time. I bet they had a good time doing that. I know I would still be giggling about it if I had been the one to do it.

It seems apparent that you and I live in different worlds.

Money is a tool which I put little meaning into; insert generic, but quite relevant biblical scripture here.

That is kind of the point made in the video... or at least what I take away from it

Some look at rifles like a family member and call them she and other pet names, some look at them as just a tool.

No matter how you break in a barrel, you will (just as in cleaning a barrel) do it wrong.

I snagged this from my buddy Bob:

"...my barrel break-in regimen. I did the old fire one, clean, fire one, clean for about 5 rounds and got tired of that. So I got an oversized stainless steel bore brush and put some JB Compound, jeweler's rouge and some Alpo canned dog food all over the brush. Oh and some hard to find Sweet's 6.5 solution. I put that in a half horse drill motor and ran that brush all up and down the barrel. I worked really hard on the ends - especially the crown and the throat. I may do a write up on my break-in regimen later. Anyway, I'm happy so far."

Having half a hundred semi custom rifles laying around helps you see them as tools.

Me either, and it's always awkward when you call out the wrong name.
