Too hard to find components... I once hunted with a guy who forgot his B-29 ammo and we searched every gas station for 500 miles without finding any... I've never owned one and never will! I was going to say B-29, too. But now someone went and badmouthed it, so it no longer qualifies. Harumph! ("Can I get a 'harumph' over there?! Hedley?")

The 7x57 sucks. The only way it works halfway decently is if it's Ackley Improved and put in a Remington clone action with a Wyatts box, tactical stock and a fluted stainless barrel at least 26" long. Exactly, that way it can be easily rechambered to 280 Ackley and thus achieve virtual perfection.

.22LR, 22-250, 7mm-08, 30-06
Can't recall anybody (in real, non-internet life) talking bad about them. Even among folks that aren't gun nuts, the 7mm-08 has a good reputation around here. When stuff doesn't perform on game like it should, it is generally compared to the 30-06 with factory 180's, and folks mention how it never really gave them any problems and they don't know why they decided to change.
Now with even more aplomb
