I was in FF last night and got a kick out of all the dudes filling their carts with corn. It must be for their bird feeders.

I really did sniff the Hoppe's last night. I shouldn't have done that. It made this sickness worse.

Some of the smell went away when I found my thermos and opened it to find some hot chocolate left in there from last deer seaon. Wheeeew.

I was walking through Gander Mountain looking at all the enormously overpriced hunting stuff, when I heard the unmistakeable sounds of antlers rattling. My neck swelled up, the guard hairs in my nose went up as I dashed forward, trying to see how TWO bucks had dared to invade MY AREA............

I am not a band aid guy. But when it involves your infected trigger finger a week before deer season, you do what you have to do. The redness, puss, and swelling is down now, thanks for your concern guys! Dont forget it was a camo band aid too!

any other finger would have been allowed to fall off or I would have gnawed it off. But there is no honor in losing a trigger finger.

Last year I took a doe with the 264, wrong handed shot, over my right shoulder, literally shooting behind me, wrong eye in the scope, buttplate anchored inside my elbow rather than my shoulder because of the backwards contortionist shot posture.

Pretty sure I touched it off with the tip of the longest finger I had on my left hand, which was my middle finger.

I let my wife (at the time) talk me into going to a friggin craft show on opening day of black powder season . It was at the state fair ground in 16 buildings we went though all of them and she never bought a friggen thing. Never happened again .
