I have two rifles, both CZ. One is a 22RF and the other is a 22mag. Both need scopes but I have some find duplex scopes I can test with. But the purpose of this post it to get scope bases. What brand is best for the lowest mount of scopes. Remember that I think the bolt will bump the scope so that needs to be taken into consideration. Do I go for low bases scope mounts or medium? The scope I will mount will likely be a size 40 bell but may be 32.

I came across a weaver style scope base/rail for the CZ 453/452 the other day. Let me know if you have a use for it. Clamps on the groove and lets you use weaver style rings, works great

Sorry I goofed. I mean I need the scope rings for the CZ groove. Not sure why I put down bases. The only problem with the ones you have that clamp on the groove is the scope will ride higher than I want it to be.

Hoping someone will tell me what Warne part number works for the CZ 452 American.

I put B Square clamp-on "Weaver" adaptor bases on my 455. Then you can use Weaver-style rings in whatever variation fits the bill.

Here is a reference chart of the CZ site. They list most of the options available.

CZ scope ring chart

I haven't used the base conversions like others have mentioned, but for low mounted rings this chart should point you in the right direction.

Warne 1" rings for 3/8 and 11mm groove, "medium" height, model number 721 (they are .400" tall)

Yeah my 455 american has jnp adapters to med Burris signature zee rings and I barely clear the occular housing of a leupold 2-7X33 with the bolt. So don't try to go too low with the mounts and rings

I have Leupold 11mm mediums on my LH 452 with a Clearidge 3-9x32AO. There's a little room under the objective and I can make the bolt hit the power adjustment ring but it normally doesn't. Sorry, no pics or measurements handy.

The other one that I wanted to try but wasn't readily available locally was from Talley.

Same here on the 455. Works well.

Do you know what model Warne clamp on rimfire rings you have? Way too many Warnes that I am not sure what you are using. Thanks.

My CZ is a 455 American .17 HMR.

I mounted an older Leo VX III in Med. Burris Signature rings.
It just barely cleared the barrel, and the bolt would lightly rub the scope.

I just put new, factory CZ rings and a new Burris FF II, 4.5X14X42mm on the CZ.

Now the scope clears the bolt and barrel by about 2/10 of an inch.

To answer your question, Burris Med rings are about 4/10 inch high, and risk the bolt handle touching the scope.

CZ factory rings are just a tad over 6/10 inch high, and provide clearance for the bolt handle and any scope up to 44 mm.

Burris high rings and BLK rings are about 8/10 inch high, and provide lots of clearance.

CZ 455, Burris med rings and Leo 3.5X10X40mm, the bolt handle rubs.

New CZ rings with 42MM Burris scope, everything clears.

I used the DIP rail adapter with signature rings on my 455 FS and it's just right. It is real easy to go too low on the CZ with rings alone and have a issue with the bolt hitting the ocular, I know this because the first time I went with the signature rings that just used the dovetail groove and it would not clear.

I run the Warne 721M mediums on my 455 with VX-II 3-9x40. Bolt and barrel both clear fine. 452 bolt throw may be different, not sure about that.

You need to call it. I can't call it for you.
