Im offering for sale a Uberti (Navy Arms) 1866 Yellowboy Sporting Rifle in 44-40 with a ladder sight and a 24 barrel. The rifle is used and appears to have been handled way more than its been fired. Overall its in pretty nice shape except for some scratches on the top of the barrel and a rub on the left side of the magazine tube.
A surprising quality I discovered about this rifle is that despite the rather rudimentary sights, the ol girl shoots really well! I fired the rifle at 100 and 200 yds. on a very gusty, overcast day, but the rifle still shot well. The load I fired pretty much duplicates the factory load and the sights are almost regulated for both 100 and 200 yds. Itd take a minimum amount of work on the front sight to have the rifle shooting to the sights at 100 and 200 yds.
