Any reason I can't rebarrel a Mod 70 from 243 into 22-250? #8241915 11/10/13

faraim New Member F Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 14	The long action M70's had different magazine boxes, followers and springs for the .22-250 and .243. That's not to say the .22-250 won't feed from a .243 magazine. Try it and see. I had problems feeding a .240 NMC, basically a 6mm/.22-250 from a .308 m700 magazine until I changed the follower from a milled one to a stamped one. So that's another thing to try. Don't give up if it doesn't work at first! Last edited by faraim; 11/16/13. Reason: additional info
