Subject line has the question. Other thoughts are: bolt size issues? Feeding and magazine issues? What am I possibly going to get burned by?

Thanks!

well I have one that was done to... without any issues at all...

and I have done a 22.250 into a 243 on a Ruger Action, and after changing out the short magazine, didn't have any feeding issues on that one either...

Change the barrel and rock on. No other changed need to be made. Although I would go with 22-250AI or better yet 22/243 or one of its other manifestations.

The long action M70's had different magazine boxes, followers and springs for the .22-250 and .243. That's not to say the .22-250 won't feed from a .243 magazine. Try it and see. I had problems feeding a .240 NMC, basically a 6mm/.22-250 from a .308 m700 magazine until I changed the follower from a milled one to a stamped one. So that's another thing to try. Don't give up if it doesn't work at first!
