Guys,
I bought a Trijion Accupoint 3x9x40 last month and took it for its first evening hunt today. I noticed the view to be blurry around the edges. Anyone have an experience like this? Should I send it back to be checked out? It's my first high dollar scope and I was disappointed.

In a hart beat. I bought a Bushnell 6500 4 1/2-30X50. It was blurry above 25X. It went in for repair. When it came back it was fantastic at everything above 7X. I returned it for a full refund. About a year later I bought another. It is better than my Swarovski z5 5-25X52 in daylight hours. The Swarovski took four tries before I got a keeper. It smokes the 6500 in low light.

I won't keep anything, even a flashlight if it is not what I expect.

I had a TR21 (1.25-4x24) for a short period of time & I didn't care for the optical clarity so I sold it.

that may be normal for the scope, I have never owned one so I don't know for sure. Even mid to high dollar scopes in the $1000+ range can be blurry around the edges, depending on the other features of the scope. If you don't like it send it in and ask them, I did on a $1330 NF and they told me "that's just the way it is". Dump it and look at the Meopta, others say the VX6 but I don't have one.

I don't buy scopes any more without studying them carefully for a period of hours outside and as the sun sets. Fan boys get so exuberant about some stuff that it becomes self perpetuating manure sometimes. Yes I admit that accurate dialing and holding zero are just as important but looking thru a coke bottle to get those features is not on my list of to do's for over a grand.

Was the scope bright and clear under daylight conditions? If it wasn't, send it back. If it was ok you have to dial back the magnification until it becomes clear to your liking. At 9x it gives you a small exit pupil which makes it difficult to get the scope centered, resulting in blurry edges. There is a reason Germans carry 50-72 mm objective scopes for night hunting.

skidboot 77 I have the same scope and have never noticed it being blurry around the edges. Call Trijicon and talk to them their customer service is very good.

I have this same scope, as well as a Trijicon 1.25-4x24, and do not have "blurry" edges on either one. I think you need to talk to Trijicon.

I'm gonna take it to the range during mid day and later in the afternoon. If it's the same, I will give Trijion a call.

If its good in low light and clear in the center, last time I recall shooting something on the edges of the scope was... well I don't.
