not .243 or .25-06 related, but your tip on the .300 Weatherby was on the mark. R22 got 165's up to factory claimed velocity, and accuracy is as good or better than anything else. The powder charges? Ummm...way more than books publish

Seen 'em work just that one time from a 6 mucka mucka Rem at a good distance, but they worked very well on an unsuspectin' doe.

I don't think I'd be afraid to poke one in an elk.

From what Ive heard, either would I, except for the fact that I never want to see another dead elk on the ground�..( I had a pretty good long run of luck with them�)
