Funny story...
When I was sixteen I asked my mommy if she wanted me to buy the Christmas tree for the family that year. She said that was nice.
So I got loaded, drove to a strip mall, chopped down a blue spruce, and brought it home.
My folks thought I was the best son ever. Because I was.

When I was a teen we took my buddy's land cruiser with a 350 in it wheelin' in the mountains, bout 1/2 hour from here. His mum thought we should get a tree while we were there.
Sweet.
We were about 8 beers in a piece on a case when we spotted the most wonderful wild tree ever.
Right beside the [bleep] road.....thank you God.
We stopped, walked 5 feet and began sawing.
No problem.
Soon, we had a beautiful tree on top o' the Toyota.
Right out of some poor families yard at their cabin.
I drove by that stump for years shaking my head in shame.
