They have pretty good instructions on their website.

Yea, but that is less than 1/2 the cost of anything else of that weight.

I have one, on my pre-'64 M70 .280. I had it painted by our own Rick Bin, in tan with black webbing. Works great.

I've had a High Tech on my '06 for about ten years. I like it a lot. It was my go to rifle for about 5 years after getting the stock and a Douglas barrel. After that it took a back seat and just made trips as a back-up rifle. In all that time I can't remember it ever changing point of impact and needing resighted. I just checked it again yesterday and it still prints it's two favorite loads 2" high. Right where I set it after the last scope change about eight years ago. I'm lucky that it shoots about every load I've tried to almost the same point of impact.

Hell, I just talked myself into it being my main rifle again this year.

Dave.

Just buy a used McMillan if you want to be 'cheap'

I've had several.A couple were on lightweight 7mm Rem Mags shot and hunted enough that the barrels burned out and they were taken all over the west and central Canada.

I don't have a single complaint and I might add that the bedding(done by Bansners shop) was good enough that the screws never loosened and stayed consistent enough to shoot out he barrels. As one poster above states, POI never shifted over years, and the rifles ere very accurate.

I have also had them on 30/06's and 300 WSM's.

They are a good product, and I say that having owned many McMillans, Brown Precisions, and Borden Rimrock, Lee Six,and others I don't recall at the moment.

The 280 Remington is overbore.

I put an ADL style mag. contour on a CDL Model 7 350 mag.. It took some work, but I didn't mind. Cut out & fit for the magazine, shortened & added a Decelerator pad, Pillared & bedded, painted with a textured rattle can. Shoots real well. I like them.Bought it on E-Bay for $95.

I have a Bansner Hi-Tech on my 308 win in BDL config. Nice stock. Weighs 24 oz with a Decel pad. It's a viable alternative to an Edge if you don't want the wait. Unlike others here however, it does not seem to absorb the recoil quite as well as my Edge or B&C Lightweight medalist stocks. Personally, for 4 oz of difference, the B&C LW medalist seems a better deal.

I had a wood stocked Vanguard .257 that weighed a ton. Sucker should have come with wheels. Now, putting a edge on this rifle is a $100 saddle on a $10 horse. Bansner seemed about right. took some work, but the rifle shoots well and is a nice carry piece.
