Sunday afternoon

Had some jackwagons ripping thru a brick of 9mm about a 1/2 mile away. Sh! T was gettin on my nerves because I 'm trying to listen for deer moving thru a thicket. Then 400 yards away I got some Corky the slow kid with a red shirt on a honda fourtrax with no muffler. I heard a deer blowing bout 200 yards away. I'm thinkin ain't no damn way that deer is blowin at me, my game is tight and the winds in my face.

Anyway, sure enough I hear this guy trottin thru the mopstick boxelder thicket towards me. I had two seconds to check for ear width. I gave em the ole " meehhhh" and stopped. Vitals were blocked with a pair of 3" trees. I knew he just beside the tree so i wouldnt suffer much deflection. Bullet expanded pre-deer impact, there was not an exit wound. Penetrated deep enough for an atrial ectomy. Deer ran 50 yards and crashed. Blood spray was 5ft high on tree trunks. Ventricles were intact still pumping all his blood out hence the racing stripe.

I was hunting by myself, no atv, no trailer, no draggin buddy.

Called Renegade50 up, he was gluing some barrels back onto his Panzer model tanks after Ella his favorite white snowball housecat knocked em off the mantle.

He helped me drag the deer out with a Jet Sled. Bout a 1/4 mile drag. He didnt want me to gut in that spot where it expired cause it died about 5 yards from his ground blind.

And he also did not want a pack of song dogs shacking up near his set up.

Damn fine gent to turn his NFL game off and show up after dark to help retrieve. My f250 is full of stands, climbers, chair blinds, jet sled, target bench. Aint no room for a carcass

Not a darn suppliment or seed was put out. That it simply throwing money down a rat hole. I simply have some topography and land cover that is friendly to deer movement.
