Great rifles, usually very accurate and extremely well built. Just a nice basic little .22.
If you plan on using a scope, try to find one of the later ones with the grooved receiver.

I learned to shoot with a 69A. It is one squirrel killing machine. I refinished one a couple of years ago that was in terrible condition. I polished the bolt, trigger and trigger guard to match my fathers "newer" grooved target model and put a period correct 4X Unertl on it. I think it turned out nicely. I don't think you can find a better .22. I've had a bunch of them over the years. Very, very accurate...I think because of a thicker barrel. I'll always have at least one 69A or 72A (tube fed.) It'll outshoot my 75 Sporter.
