My wife called me around 8:30 Monday morning and told me she thought her water had broke. A quick trip to the OB confirmed she had in fact not wet herself, it was time to head to the hospital.
That's about when our carefully laid out plans went right out the window.
31 hours later, after dealing with pitocin induced contractions that left her dry heaving with each one, hour after hour of pushing in every position imaginable, the doc said the baby was stuck. It was turned side ways, had been way to long since the water broke, and needed to come.out now.
If you've never witnessed a C section, it ain't a "gentle" procedure. A whole lot of tuggin' and pullin' going on. To say my wife is a strong person is to say the ocean is wide. One must witness it to appreciate the scale.
My boy, Evan, was brought into the world Tuesday afternoon. Seven and a half pounds, he has all his bits and pieces, and is healthy as can be.
I am sleep deprived, the wife is exhausted, but both of us are on cloud nine.

Way cool! Went the same route twice with my 2 boys. Rest will never be the same again, but that is ok.

First up, congratulations to you and your good wife.
Secondly, I can strip a roo carcase in just under 30 seconds and I consider what they do in a C section to be brutal, they do not piss about getting in...but they certainly take their time patching up the damage.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Congratulations,I always said kids are the best and worst of everything..You never worried so much as when they get the sniffles or don't feel well and on the other hand they have a way of making you madder than you ever been,when they get older and do stupid things,But enjoy it all, it goes by very fast..
I'm afraid that when I die,my wife will sell everything I own for what I told her I paid for it...
