You can bet that whatever it is it will be boring and non-eventful. They seem to have forgotten how to make anything but plastic rifles.

Remington will likely take a $400 rifle, swap on a different color tupperware handle, put some kind of coating on it, maybe some flutes or weird contouring, and list it at $700-800.
I still don't see why they can't turn out a run of SPS/SPSS rifles in 223, 22-250, and 243, all with 1-8" twists. Sporters, magnums, or varmint contours, I don't care. Call them "long range varminters" or such. Slap a different colored tupperware on them and print the twist in bolt type on the side of the barrel. Charge an extra $100 per rifle. This is basically the same approach they took with the SPS-AAC rifles, less the threads for muzzle devices.
Now with even more aplomb

Keep an eye out, if they offer something nice and if the general public likes it, they will discontinue it before you exhale.

How about bringing back the stainless model sevens?

They're bringing back Etronix, but now it'll be wireless.

GREAT IDEA, and add the .260 to the short list!

No way Big Green and Goofy will ever do that.

Maybe they'll come up with a better name than "cross fire" for the trigger they stole from Marlin.

I just wish they would get rid of the 3" thick recoil pad on the CDL's.

Look for Ruger to make a 6mm Creedmoor before Remington comes back w/the 260.
It seems they shoot themselves in the foot with any good product, rifle or cartridge b/c they kill it too soon. Short term thinking bean counting.

Yeah stainless m7s would be nice especially in .260.
