Thinking of one on a 280ai build. Rifle would come in at 8# with this scope and I'm wondering if the eye relief is enough for prone field positions/recoil.

Anyone have experience with this scope. All my other hunting scopes are Leupold 3-9x40's or 6x42's how does the SS compare. Its listed at 4.13-3.03 which seems a little short. If its got a pretty generous eye box it might work okay?

I got mine from UPS today, so I don't have any real experience with it, but the eye relief is generous. I set it in rings on the rifle it is going to be mounted on, and I was able to place it where the leupold vx II was mounted. It is going on a 300 WSM, and I'm not nervous about shooting it prone.

I have a SWFA 1-6x. This 3-9x will be my next. I'm thinking the 3-15x might just be the ticket for a LR hunting rifle.

I have one on my 280 AI and there is plenty eye relief.

It's a large piece of glass, I like it but probably will go another route.
