number 23 down I got a message the other day from my high school english teacher from LA (lower Alabama) her step dad loves venison and is allergic to beef and she was wondering if I would kill them one. I told her it is the late season but there shouldnt be a problem. Well I got up this morn and the wind was horrid I thought i was back in Grand Forks ND. On the way to the farm I had a blow out on my f-150 So at 5:15 am I was on the side of the road changing a tire in the pitch dark. The I got an "urgent" phone call from the EX wife after the 20 minutes I wont ever get back I was about an hour late getting to my tree. I froze till 8:45 when this big ole doe steeped out I dropped her in her tracks As far as the 150 e tip "lead free bullet" I guess im going green and trying to save the environment while in the process killing God's furry creatures....nah I just like the olive drab green tip. They get to shoot lots of does.
Landowners around here get to do the same if they are enrolled in certain programs that allow deer management. One of the latest stories in these parts involved a biologist speaking at a local sportsman's banquet. One man in the audience asked what he should plant on his property in order to see better bucks. The biologist suggested that he should "plant a lot of lead in a lot of does".
Now with even more aplomb

My grandfather would save the intestine wash it out turn it wrong side out and scrape the fat off until you could read through it . They would then pack it full of sausage and cure it . Back in the old days there weren't sausage casings available. If the thought of that bugs you don't ever ask what chitterlings are.

I was raised about as country as they get, were talking about a conversation 2 dumb asses were having about a deer, that would have no clue as to where to begin making a casing out of any part of a deer. Around here you didnt waste any part of any animal, I am well aware of where sausage casings come from. Keep assuming

we are allowed 3 does a day with a limit of like 300 plus
heck i kill 20 a year ever year i dont get excited till i get in the 30's lol
i have posted the number of the kill for the last 10 years geez this thread wasnt so much about number 23 as it was bullet performance of the e tip as 23 is normal

I wasn't hating just to be clear, just curious what kind of limit they had we have a limit of 8 deer per year 6 does 2 bucks. I have some .30 cal 180 grain pills on the reloading bench I've been wanting to try out so the e tip is what drew me to this post. Thanks for sharing glad you got to help some people also!

the 180 accubond in 308 is a good combo i have killed a few in the past and 2 this year with it and compressed load of imr4350 at 2550 ish fps
i figure before to long this country will follow cali's ban of lead bullets and shooters pro shop had them on the cheap I hope to kill a few more with them

dressed 100 95 102
i made a bad shot on 177 yd one (off hand) entered behind ribs exit between last 2 ribs went 80 yds
number 2 high shoulder drt
number 3 mid shoulder ran 40
i like this bullet
all pass troughs great exit
