Last weekend, a thermal inversion kept a sea of fog ebbing and flowing into the Grand Canyon. While tourist moaned that they could not see the river and the canyon depths, I relished the uncommon conditions.

I had seen a few pics from some folks and was wondering if you made it out there. You did! What a great scene and great captures as well! The last two are about the best I have seen from anyone yet!

Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

If I never get out there to see the canyon, you have let me see some great views . Probably some that I wouldn't see if I were there! Thanks

Do you have clear pics from the same locations for comparison?

That would be very interesting.

How cool is that....looks like a bay on the ocean vs. the Grand Canyon. What settings did you use to capture those?

Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21.
Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

Thanks all for looking and commenting. I hope it happens again soon, rather than every 10 years like the news reported.

Nebraska, they were all aperture priority, ISO 100, f/8,(except #1 was f/6.3), tripod

ironbender: same feature, but not the exact same spot

It's one thing when you're standing somewhere in person and experience a breath-taking view/scene but your pics really capture that same essence for me.....that's really a gift IMO. Thanks for sharing the pics and details....
