Hey gang,
I finally came to select the 140 grain TSX for my 7 mag.
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with this bullet and if you had a load you may want to share? I nkow not all guns shoot the same, but If I had a good starting point that would be very helpful. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Enrique, I've found the 140 TSX to be accurate at the range and a good performer on the one deer that got in it's way. The load was pretty mild and the bullet opened up quickly and did a lot of damage through a couple of feet of deer innards. I actually recovered it. I'm using Vihta Vuori N560 powder and like it a lot. It's harder to find and a bit expensive but it's all I've used in the 7 mag. for the last few years. My load in the low 60 grain range is safe in my Rem. 700, but as always, starting low and working up is a must for safety. Here's a pic of the recovered bullet that still weighs 140 grains after breaking a rib or two and a shoulder then stopping under the offside hide on a 150 yard angled shot. Good Luck, Bruce Just for grins I'll be trying some 120 grain TSX just to see if my rifle likes a faster, lighter boolit. No doubt it would hold together as well, even pushed quite a bit faster as the 100 grain version in the 25-284 are smokin' along and have accounted for 2 deer and 4 feral hogs....

I've used that bullet a fair bit out of my 7 Mashburn Super. Last critter I took was a bull @ 520 yds. One shoot thru both fronts and it bounced!
R22, fed 215 primers, Win hulls
Work up a load and see what she will do.
Good luck

66 grs. of H4831sc, Nosler brass, Fed215M works for me. Shoots nice little groups and puts deer on the ground fast.

Not yet, have always used 160g bullets. But now that I have a .300 Win Mag I'm looking at 160's for the .300 and 140's for the 7mm Mag. Will probably develop loads with the TSX and switch to the MRX later.

Hi Enrique,
I got excellent results with moly coated 140 TSX and RL-22. Was edging 3400. Sold the 24" rem barreled Mark X to a friend. If he ever wants to hunt elk he is set. He opted to use the moly coated 120 nbt @ 3600 for coues. (also uses RL-22)

The 140 grain TSX saved my 7 Mag from a barrel change. It's the only bullet that I found that would consistently shoot MOA in that gun. Mine likes 4831 SC with the bullet seated .040 off the lands.

I have had good results with 140TSX out of my 7mm RM. Have used to harvest Elk, Moose, Mulies and WT.
