Saw a Huffington blurb this AM which described Phil Robertson this way. Got a good laugh when I found that Duck Commander was incorporated in 1973 and is a multi-million dollar enterprise run by PR's son. Didn't read the article (try to not read trash), and realize "poor" can be used several ways, but this guy wasn't poor (economically) before their show.

Was duck dynasty inc.'ed in 1973 or was it The Duck Commander trade mark?
I thought that the "dynasty" was a&e's franchise. There is a difference as I understand it.

THe only accusations in the piece that are true are that Phil is southern and white. He is not poor or a bigot.

Phil made his money the hard way, he worked for it! This. The Duck Commander name and calls has been around for a long time. They made the calls in the garage and storage building at Phil's place and raised those boys doing that, along with the bounty they provided by hunting, fishing and what not. It wasn't until 6 or 7 yrs ago that they got real popular with the calls and the endorsements that they became "comfortably wealthy". I met them the first time they went to SHOT Show, and was skeptical of them, until I talked to them and found out that they were down to earth boys that lived to hunt, and had made a name for themselves by doing so... I liked them then, and like them now. But trust me....it was the Robertson Family that put A&E on the map. Not vice versa. True, that the Show Duck Dynasty put them over the top with popularity and endorsements, and added to their wealth on that fashion, but they were doing just fine before A&E.

They have enough money if they invested right , to walk away and never look back at A&E. If America stands behind Phil and his family , they can't make A&E hate the day they fired him.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.
