Merry Christmas from so. Idaho, too. We just moved into a warm spell for the week. It's 41 now and sunny. All the snow is gone and there's a warm breeze blowing. Great weather for Christmas!

Just got home from 42 below and smoke that went straight up. Only 0 here now -- tropical heat wave.

Coldest I saw it here (unofficial on my thermometer) was 40 below and that was over 35 years ago. And it was kind of painful.
You did not want to be out in it long.

Back in the mid 70s, I was stationed north of Thunder Bay and I saw the coldest temps I ever saw personally -- 68 below. Only happened a couple times, but we saw lots of -60 and a bit of -65. But anything colder than -40 or -45 is just nasty.
