I've had gunk cure the ills on several units. A 30-378, however, was literally shearing the rabbit ears off of those windage ajustable Leupold mounts. Went to Talley and the issue was resolved.
I'd try a small bead of silicon seal.

No offense taken, but I have cranked the screws as hard as the little wrench will allow,
Also, I have done this two or 3 times, the scope is slipping and it's obvious... 10-4 My self and friends have several sets of S&Ks, admittedly none on magnums, but several on very, very light 'o6 chambered rifles. Not one has moved. Perhaps you got a bad set? Have you spoken with the manufacture at all? I wish you luck in getting it sorted, sir.
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

I've Got Four Sets Of S&K. And Never Had a Problem. Love The looks Of Theses. I'd Call And Let Them Know. I'm Sure They Will Take Care Of You.

Could also be an undersized tube.
I can't think of another reason a scope would slip in a properly tightened set of S&K's.
As for Conetrol being a better design, I'd say I'll have to disagree. Had 3-4 sets of Conetrol's and half a dozen or so S&K's and there is no doubt in my mind which is a better design.

Try double-sided sticky tape in both ring halves. Holds like crazy and protects the tube.

I have the S&K rings on a .300 WSM as well as a .270 and .222 and not experienced any scope slippage. I wonder if dressing up the flat surface on the bottom of the rings might solve the problem.
